What is EJury? The Online Trial Experience

eJury provides attorneys the chance to “try out” a case BEFORE it goes to trial in front of a live jury at a regular, brick-and-mortar legal courthouse.

Cases are usually tried in front of juries of twelve people. At eJury, each case is tried before a MINIMUM of 50 people! This makes it a GREAT Side Hustle and in turn provides an enormous amount of feedback for the trial attorney who then will use what they learn to establish a monetary value for the settlement, uncover strengths and weaknesses in the evidence, absorb and understand public attitudes, get better at jury selection, and find the most effective arguments.

How Much Does Ejury Pay?

For each rendered verdict, eJurors get paid $5 – $10, depending on the case length. The amount to be paid will be displayed at the top of each case. You won’t really get rich, but one case a week could pay for several bills, like your streaming costs or internet.

It doesn’t cost anything to sign up as an eJuror. There are no charges or costs for signing up. There is no guarantee that you will be put on a case or complete a case, so think about that when considering this side hustle and whether Ejury pay is reliable or good enough for you.

Yes, you take a REAL oath

Do I Have to Take an Oath?

Yes, you do. Without taking an oath, your input is meaningless, even when online like this. Each eJuror must not be an actively practicing attorney, paralegal, or legal assistant; not be employed by or associated with an attorney or law firm; not be related to a practicing attorney within the first degree of affinity (marriage) or within second degree of consanguinity (blood); and not be employed as an insurance adjuster, nor associated with the adjusting of liability claims.

How Are Cases Assigned?

Cases are assigned based upon availability from attorneys, your residence (where you live, even though it is online), and of course, your demographic information. You will probably get more cases if you live in or near a big city, though, so be aware of this. Qualifications for service as an eJuror are similar to requirements for live, in-person jury service in the United States.

To qualify as an eJuror, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be a US citizen
  • be of sound mind and good moral character
  • be able to read and write
  • have never been convicted of a felony
  • not be under indictment or other legal accusation of misdemeanor theft or felony theft or any felony charge

How Much Time Does it Take?

Like a face to face jury, you will need to set aside time to show up and do the work. Expect to set aside some part of a week or two, usually. Luckily, it is only online and you do not have to leave home to do it–it’s best advantage as a side hustle, in our opinion.

Is eJury Legit? How Do We Know?

We understand that something like this might not sound like it is legit. There are SO many weird, wrong, get-rich-quick schemes listed on the web. How do we know this one is real and it is legit? We asked our friends and colleagues who have used this as a side hustle and so we have firsthand knowledge of its authenticity. Short of doing an official survey, we have to take their word for it.

We research EVERY Make Money Idea on Wealthy Nest, to the extent we are able.

Nothing on Trustpilot, so too Bad there

At Wealthy Nest, we also like to use Trustpilot to test the legitimacy of a side hustle or money making idea. Unfortunately for us, there is no feedback for eJury.com on Trustpilot at the time of this writing (August 2022). So we just have to take others’ words for it at this point.
